Artfully Sent Sleeve Cards–April Class

Hello!  I am enjoying a rainy day in VA.  It’s a bit cold, but the rain is nice and soothing. Today I want to share some more cards that I created with our Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge for my April Cricut Class, Saturday, April 25 from 9-11am. These cards were really easy and came together very quickly.  Partly, because I copied some designs, but also because there isn’t a lot to them. This was one of the cards that I copied from the Close To My Heart video all about the sleeve cards.  (I’ll include the video at the bottom of this post.) They created it to hold a party invitation.  The person who receives this card could turn around and use the sleeve to hold a birthday card to send to someone else.  You probably guessed it, this card uses the letters that came out of the first card.  I just embossed them with our Dot Embossing Folder .  The little diamond shapes on the side were leftovers from some Cricut project a long while back. (yes, I kept those) These sleeve cards

April Card Club–Blossom Kit

Hello again!  I am back today to share the cards that we will make at my April Card Club .  SPOILER alert!!!  We will be using brand new product from the Seasonal Expressions 2 Book to be released April 1.  No fooling! I can say hands down that this is one of the best Workshop On The Go kits because of the stamp set that comes in it.  (Just an FYI, I will  not be able to link you to some of the products for purchase because they won’t be available until April 1.)   This might be my favorite card in the bunch.  I was so excited that I remembered to apply a technique that has been around for a long time.  After stamping the popsicle images I applied some Liquid Glass on top of them.  Don’t they just look good enough to eat? This card was a lot of fun.  The sentiment and flowers make it so versatile that it doesn’t have to be a birthday card.  The flowers are created with 7 different stamp images.  Which means you could easily recreate this with any color combination you wante

All-Day Crops

Well, I never get the chance to share information about my All-Day Crops – until now.  Yeah!!! Did you know that I hold All-Day Crops once a month in my studio?  That’s right, every single month I hold an All-Day Crop in my studio.  I am so glad that I am able to provide others with a place to come and use their crafting supplies. First, have you heard about my studio space?  I really don’t want to brag, but I want to share the space with you (it gets really lonely by myself).  Here’s what it looks like. That’s right, I have 12 hardwood 5’ tables for people to crop on with table top organizers (not pictured).   So everyone gets their own space. I also give out prizes at crops and everyone goes home with something.  I also create a simple ( and short, because I don’t want to take you away from your long agenda of projects ) make-n-take for you to create.  Here’s a picture of what we made last time. The best part is that lunch and dinner are included in the price of the crop a

Scrapbook Club – Hopscotch

Get it before it’s gone.  That’s right at my April Scrapbook Club we are using the Hopscotch paper collection to create 4 12x12 scrapbook pages.  However, the paper collection is retiring March 31, so get yours before it’s gone. I don’t always use the Complements (stickers or dimensional elements) on my scrapbook pages, but this month I did . The complements worked really well for titles and extra embellishments to make my photos pop. This particular Workshop on the Go Kit also comes with the Flaxen Extra Thick Twine as well as the Hopscotch Assortment , which you can see really well in this photo. Since there was so little stamping I decided to also add the Junebug Puffies , which are also retiring March 31, so get a pack before they are gone.  It’s like adding a sprinkling of glitter to your layouts. The pack of Junebug Puffies has flowers, butterflies, leaves and other shapes in various colors of blue, pink, and green. So don’t miss out on this paper collection an

Artfully Sent Scene Cards

I really enjoyed making this month’s Cricut Artfully Sent cards .  The more I play with my cartridge to make these cards the easier they get.  I’m also quickly (or slowly depending how you look at it) learning that there are not a lot of cuts on each card and there don’t need to be. We will make all 3 of the cards pictured above at my Cricut Class on Saturday, March 28 at 9am .   I have seen a couple of creations of this card already so I just combined the things I liked the best. This card was on the video that CTMH put out about the Scene cards.  So pretty yet, so simple. I think I learned the most when making this card.  I knew I wanted to use the Hopscotch paper as the base of the card.  What I had trouble with was determining what color cardstock to cut the “Happy Birthday” out of.  I thought Colonial White would look good, but it appeared to “get lost.”  So then I tried Chocolate and I didn’t like that either.  Then I held the 2 together and “voila”. You too can crea

Card Club– “Easter” using Hopscotch

I’m a little late getting this post out, but as they say “better late than never”.  It didn’t help that I had to reschedule the February class twice due to snow.  But let’s hope that is behind us. I really had fun designing and coloring these cards. Let’s start with the “He is Risen” card that uses the His Love (B1469) stamp set . I used a little bit of Pearl Paint on the lily and I just love our White Shimmer Trim . This next card uses one of my favorite stamp sets from the Seasonal Expressions 1 Book, Hopping By (D1633) .  Remember most products in that book retire at the end of this month, so get them before they are gone. I used the Shin Han markers and some watercolor pencils to color this card.  He’s just cute I want to pinch his cheeks. I am super excited about these last 2 designs. Not because of what’s on the outside, but check out the inside.  Yep, that’s an adhesive spring (Z1725) so the hot air balloon is “popping out” at you. Ok, this one might be my fa
