Kid’s Klub–Scrapbooking

I have just finished my 3rd Kid’s Klub My Crush Book class and we are having so much fun!  I have really enjoyed watching the students fill their books with their pictures and journaling.  Not only are they having fun, but they are also learning to use a paper trimmer, read measurements on a ruler, organize their photos, and journaling their memories. I would love to get some children involved, so if you know a child at least 9 years old OR in the 3rd grade they are welcome to join my Kid’s Klub that meets the 4th Sunday of every month from 2-4pm. Sunday, October 25 from 2-4pm First class is $25 and includes the My Crush Book of their choice (shown below), matching assortment and a journaling pen.   Students should bring 10-20 photos and memorabilia with them to class along with a paper trimmer. Each month students will continue to fill their My Crush books with their memories for only $15 each month.  They will receive a new embellishment or tool that they can use

October Card Club–CHRISTMAS!!!

No, you aren’t seeing things.  The title of this post is about Christmas Cards .  Yep, it’s not too early to start thinking about making your Christmas cards (even if I am writing this while wearing shorts and a t-shirt.) These are the cards we will be making at my October Card Club (October 22).  These cards feature the new White Pines paper packet (X7200B), Gold Glitter paper pack (Z3076), and a few new stamp sets. I made each card so that it uses one sheet of the patterned paper in the White Pines paper pack (X7200B) and one sheet from the Gold Glitter Paper (Z3076) pack.  This way each card can be easily duplicated if you would like to make more. I really liked how life-like this Santa stamp looked (Believe In Christmas D1666) and knew I wanted to create 1 card with it.  The new Memento Tuxedo Black Ink pad (Z899) is perfect to stamp with and then use your alcohol markers .  I also used the information provided on CTMH’s blog about how to create our exclusive colors

Thank you!!!!

I am so excited to announce that I have just EARNED my 3rd incentive trip with Close To My Heart!!!!  I will be cruising the Caribbean in 2016 and stopping in St. Thomas, Tortola, and the Bahamas.  I am so excited!! October Scrapbook Club–Nevermore

Well, summer is “unofficially” over.  That just sounds so depressing.  I hope you are able to hold on to those last days of summer and make the most of them. I am here today to share the scrapbook pages that we will be making at my Scrapbook Club in October .  This month we will be focusing on the first collection in the 2015-2016 Holiday Expressions Idea Book, Nevermore . This page was designed by CTMH and is obviously for your favorite Halloween photos.   How cute is that little mummy from the Frightfully Fun stamp set (B1453 ). The title was stamped using the Marquee Alphabet stamp set (E1029) then embellished with elements from the Nevermore Complements , Nevermore Assortment , and Silver Sequins assortments . I wanted to show that this paper collection does NOT have to be all about Halloween, so I made the second layout as more of an autumn theme. This title was stamped with one of the September National Stamping month stamp sets, Hello Life! Pocket Scrapbooking (CC10

Kid’s Klub Scrapbooking the 4th Sunday of every month

Did you know that this generation is the most photographed ever?  Did you also know that because pictures are not printed as much as used to be that this generation will NOT have any photographs of themselves in 10 years?  That’s crazy.  So let’s change that by instilling the importance of preserving memories in children.  So if you know a kid at least 9 years old OR in the 3rd grade they are welcome to join my Kid’s Klub that meets the 4th Sunday of every month from 2-4pm. Sunday, September 27 from 2-4pm First class is $25 and includes the My Crush Book of their choice (shown below), matching assortment and a journaling pen.   Students should bring 10-20 photos and memorabilia with them to class along with a paper trimmer. Each month students will continue to fill their My Crush books with their memories for only $15 each month.  They will also receive a new embellishment or tool that they can use each month in their books.   Choose from 5 lovely My Crush book off

September Card Club–Watercolor Paints and Hello Life! stamp sets

Woohoo!  Time flies when you are having fun.  Today I am here to share the cards we will be making at my September Card Club (September 24).  We are going to use the brand new Watercolor Paints as well as the September special stamp sets, Hello Life ! This is probably my favorite card out of the set and it showcases the watercolor paints beautifully. This card also features a piece of paper from the Zoe paper collection (X7197B) and the Fundamentals Assortments in Black (Z3104). I love this new stamp set called Positive Chemistry (B1485). Can you see they embossing of hearts on the black cardstock?  That was done with the Heart Embossing Folder (Z3018). This last card really features the Hello Life! Cardmaking stamp set , available only during the month of September for just $13.95.  Oh and you can use the negative piece from the glitter stickers in the Fundamental Assortment as an embellishment – talk about using your scraps.   So would you like to make a set of the
