Artfully Sent Cricut Class–Scrapbook Page

Well, we have explored all of the feature keys of the Artfully Sent Cricut collection .  We have made pop-up cards, sentiment cards, scene cards, sleeve cards (both pocket and overlay), and pocket cards.  Now it’s time to do something different with the cartridge that is all about cards.  We are going to make a Scrapbook Page. I finally got to implement some techniques that I have wanted to do for quite a while now.  First of which, is using a heart cut to create the flowers.  Simply cut a bunch of hearts (I then embossed mine), fold them in half and adhere in a circle.  Voila – a flower! Next is using a template to sponge a design.  On this page I used an oval with the word “smile” cut out of it.  I sponged it with Colonial White ink and then embossed it with White embossing powder. I used this exact same technique with a pocket card at the bottom of the page.  In addition, the pocket cards make great journaling spots or extra embellishments on the page. You can come and crea

July Card Club–Seaside

Happy Summer day!  If we aren’t careful summer is going to fly by.  I notice that I am constantly looking ahead to the next workshop or event and I don’t take the time to really live in the moment.  Well, I challenge you today to take some time to just live in the moment and enjoy some artwork that I have to share with you. These are the cards that I created for my July Card Club using the Seaside paper pack . I primarily focused on 2 stamp sets.  First, is the Seaside Greetings stamp set (D1609).  I stamped the lighthouse image with Chocolate ink and used our Watercolor pencils to add some color.  It really looked as if the picture was coming to life as I was coloring.  Really cool!! This card is very much like one pictured on page 127 of the 2014-2015 Annual Inspirations Idea Book.  I basically just changed up the papers so I could focus on those in the Seaside Paper pack .   The 2nd stamp set that really “spoke” to me was Pretty Petals (C1599).  This stamp set features fl

Cricut Artfully Sent Class–June Pocket Cards

I just realized that I haven’t blogged about this month’s Cricut Artfully Sent class.  This Cricut cartridge is all about cards and at this class we will be using the last feature key, the Pocket Cards . These cards came together so easy because the Pocket Card does all of the work. I scrap lifted this first design from another CTMH Consultant, Lisa Stenz , who has some amazing creativity. This card is so simple to create.  Cut the pocket card, add a few stamped images and sentiments and your done.   This next card was also designed by Lisa Stenz . I changed up some of the papers from her original design that I found on Pinterest and I added some stamping with the May stamp of the month. This last card was created by me.  I just love butterflies and you can always use a “thinking of you” card. This pocket card worked great with our B&T papers that has a different pattern on the back because I used the butterfly that is cut out on the left on the top right by simply “

July Scrapbook Club–Confetti Wishes

Well, here we are, almost at the end of an Idea Book and we have only 2 collections left to use at Scrapbook Club .  The first of which is Confetti Wishes , the perfect collection for everything birthday. I changed a few aspects from the patterns provided in the Workshop on the Go kit .  One of which was adding an additional photo to the left of the page.  I love this title stamp “Oh Happy Day” that comes in the Workshop on the Go kit . For the 2nd layout I did the same as the first, by adding an additional photo under the title.  This title was also created with stamps from the Workshops on the Go Kit .   Since I know my customers have some leftover Carnival Washi Tape I added a few sentiments throughout the 2 layouts.  (“Laugh” can be seen below.) Remember you too can create both of these layouts at July’s Scrapbook Club .  Come and create with us? Thursday, July 16 at 6:30pm Sunday, July 19 at 2pm   Cost starts at just $25 and includes a full paper packet ( you&

June Card Club–Confetti Wishes

Hello again!  Who is excited that summer is almost here?  Kid’s are almost out of school and the weather is definitely getting warm.  All I need is a pool in my backyard and I would be set.  (Actually I would never get anything done.) Today, I wanted to share with you the cards that I made using the Confetti Wishes paper pack .  This paper just screams birthday.  Well, I found some cards on Pinterest that were made by another consultant, Christine Adams , that were too cute not to duplicate. In addition to the Confetti Wishes paper pack , Christine used a few cricut cuts as well as a circle punch. This card is probably my personal favorite.  Simply cut some circles from cardstock and fan them out in a circle to create a lollipop. Add some ribbon around the lollipop stick (purchased from a local craft show in the baking section) and voila.  I love this idea of 2 rectangles coming together to make a present. Add a bow to the top and of course the embossed white cardstock reall
