Artfully Sent Cricut Class in May

I’m back with another upcoming class.  This one will feature our Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge .  If you love making and sending cards then you NEED to own this cartridge.  We will create these 2 cards at the class on Saturday, May 30 from 9-11am .  Would you like to come? We will be featuring the Sleeve (Overlay) key this month.  There are so many ways to make these cards really “pop”.  You could back the overlay with different colors of paper, cut the card multiple times and paper piece the images or use the card as an overlay and sponge various colors.  This first card is actually really simple.  It is cut twice and then sponged with various colors. It probably took me longer to decide what colors to use than to put the whole card together. This next card looks difficult, but has a real wow factor. It was actually featured in CTMH’s video about the Sleeve Cards and I just took their idea and tweaked it for Spring. We will actually ...

May Card Club–Jackson

Spring is in the air and it’s name is Pollen!  At least where I live it is.  I hope everyone is focusing on the beauty of spring and the wonderful weather (instead of those pesky allergies). I am here today to share my upcoming Card Club featuring the Jackson Paper Collection from the Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book . I had a hard time getting started in creating this workshop, but I’m really pleased with how they turned out. This card was designed by my fellow consultant, Gina Brandstetter .  (She was so generous to let me copy her design for my class.)   This card was stamped with the Paper Bird stamp set (C1613), which is a Hostess Rewards stamp set and is only available to those who host a party and to my club members. Here’s another card using the Paper Bird stamp set (C1613) a nd Finding the Words (D1646) stamp set. I think I can safely say that this stamp set (Finding the Words - D1646) will work for all occasions. This card also uses a Hostess ...

Customize your own make-n-take

I have a Weekend Retreat every year in the fall in which I giveaway a ton of prizes that are all brand new product (including a cricut cartridge bundle).  Each attendee gets a customized goodie bag full of new product and I create a special make-n-take. Last August, this was the project that everyone created using our new (at the time) ShinHan Touch Twin Markers .  What I really loved about this make-n-take was that everyone was able to customize theirs.  I used the Paper Fundamentals Paper Collections which comes in our 4 different color palettes.  This way each person simply chose 3 colors and just colored the stamped images with coordinating markers and embellished with neutral washi tape and stars. Check out what other people came up with. Thanks for stopping by. Jaime

I love coloring!

I finally get to share something with you today that is not for a class or an upcoming workshop.  It’s just artwork.  Have you tried our new ShinHan Touch Twin Markers yet?  They are great.  They are made by a trusted company that has been in the business for a long time.  We only carry 24 colors, but there are actually many more. This is a card that we got to make at last year’s Convention when the markers were introduced. What I love is that you really can’t mess up.  You can just continue to add color and blend with the alcohol colorless blending marker until you are happy with the results. Here’s the same design just using some retired paper and different colors. I was so impressed with these markers that I began using them right away and created a make-n-take for my Slumber Party Retreat that I held last August 2014. For this layout I used the Paper Fundamentals Adventure Collection , the Arrows Washi Tape , and White & Black Enamel Sta...
