July Card Club–Seaside

Happy Summer day! If we aren’t careful summer is going to fly by. I notice that I am constantly looking ahead to the next workshop or event and I don’t take the time to really live in the moment. Well, I challenge you today to take some time to just live in the moment and enjoy some artwork that I have to share with you.

These are the cards that I created for my July Card Club using the Seaside paper pack.

I primarily focused on 2 stamp sets. First, is the Seaside Greetings stamp set (D1609). I stamped the lighthouse image with Chocolate ink and used our Watercolor pencils to add some color. It really looked as if the picture was coming to life as I was coloring. Really cool!!

This card is very much like one pictured on page 127 of the 2014-2015 Annual Inspirations Idea Book. I basically just changed up the papers so I could focus on those in the Seaside Paper pack.

The 2nd stamp set that really “spoke” to me was Pretty Petals (C1599). This stamp set features flowers that can all be cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut Collection. I like to cut a bunch of flowers and keep them in the envelope of my stamp set for the next time I use it.

This card was really simple. I used a standard card, but trimmed 1/4” off of the front and used the scalloped border punch to create the edge. Then I added some shimmer trim to the inside of the card.

June Card Club–Sympathy and Get Well

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I hope you are taking some time this weekend to thank those that have fought for our freedom and remember those that lost their lives defending this country. This card features a retired stamp set, Kiss It Better , but I really wanted to use it. I love how the band-aids act as closures to the ripped card front. This card is much easier than it looks. June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop–Ice Cream Dream

Yeah! I am finally getting a chance to participate in another blog hop. We have 50 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop .
