Taste of Summer Adult Workshop

Have you seen the new Taste of Summer paper pack and stamp set yet. They are both available during the month of May only.

The paper pack is only $8.95 and includes to sheets each of 6 different patterns.

The stamp set is just $17.95 (I will admit that at first I wasn’t crazy about it, but after using it with the paper, I really liked it.)

Today I am here to share a MEGA workshop that I created with just one paper pack, some extra cardstock, and of course embellishments (specifically bling).

That’s right we are going to make 6 12”x12” pages and 8 cards (2 each of the 4 pictured above).

This one might be my favorite, maybe because I kind of created it myself. Thanks to Karen Pedersen for the pattern, because I changed up the papers and stamps from a layout that she created.

And as I mentioned we will also create 8 cards. 2 of each of the 4 designs that I am sharing with with.

This card actually uses the new Finding the Words (D1646) stamp set.

June Card Club–Sympathy and Get Well

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I hope you are taking some time this weekend to thank those that have fought for our freedom and remember those that lost their lives defending this country. This weekend is so much more than bright sunny days, grilling food, and spending time with family. I hope you enjoy every aspect of it. Perhaps these cards can also brighten your day. These are the cards that we will create at my June Card Club on Thursday, June 30 from 6:30-9:30pm . Per requests from my regular attendees, I chose to focus on sympathy and get well cards. This card features a retired stamp set, Kiss It Better , but I really wanted to use it. I love how the band-aids act as closures to the ripped card front. This card is much easier than it looks. June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop–Ice Cream Dream

Yeah! I am finally getting a chance to participate in another blog hop. We have 50 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop . The June Stamp of the Month is entitled Ice Cream Dream (S1506) (Set of 7). Here is a picture of this stamp set. I chose to make a card with this stamp because I thought it would be perfect for a birthday! I chose a pattern from our How-To-Book, Wishes: Simple Side View . I love the cut-out on the front of the card to reveal a little bit of what is inside. I colored the ice cream truck with some of our ShinHan Markers (Peony Purple, Warm Grey 4, Tender Pink, Turquoise Blue, Golden Yellow, and the Blender for some shading). Christmas Card Workshop

It's finally here -- all the details about this year's Christmas Card Workshop to be held Sunday, November 3 from 1-5pm. Join me to create 3 each of the 5 designs shown above for a total of 15 cards. The above card features the upcoming Joy To The World stamp set (B1695) heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock. This card might be my favorite. It shows off the stamp set, Beachy Little Christmas (D1897). This card is straight out of the Idea Book and shows how easy it is to create with the Buttoned Up Thin Cuts (Z3524) and Holiday Trimmings stamp set (C1810).
