Scrapbook Club - Georgie and Urban

Scrapbook Club in January will feature 2 collections.  That’s right – you have choices.  You can choose to use just 1 collection and make 4-12x12 pages or you can create 8-12x12 pages using 2 different paper collections.
Here’s how it works!  I use the same pattern for pages 1&2 of each collection.  This way you can cut 2 pieces of paper at the exact same time.  Score!!!  Double the finished projects with only 1/2 of the work.

I decided not to use the Workshop on the Go kit stamp set for this page as it has a very big focus on “baby”.  I wanted to showcase that the Georgie paper collection does not have to be used for only baby pages.  So I chose the #makesmehappy Hostess Stamp Set to add my title and some accents.

This stamp set is a perfect addition to your basic scrapbooking stamps. In addition to the embellishments that come in the Workshop on the Go kit I also added the Whisper Twine (that comes in the Urban Workshops on the Go Kit) and used the Mini Stapler to adhere it.

So if you wanted to create just 4-12x12 pages using the Georgie collection these are the other 2 that you can make.

These 2 pages are the same as the additional pages featured in the Georgie Workshops on the Go Kit with a few paper changes.

So if you purchase the Georgie Workshops on the Go Kit you will have the stamp set used to stamp the title “Hello Sweet BABY” and the adorable stars and clouds.

Ok, so maybe the Georgie collection isn’t your style or you don’t have anything baby that needs to be scrapbooked.  No worries!!  Urban is just for you.

Remember I mentioned that I use the same pattern for each pages 1&2.  Scroll back up to the top and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

For this collection I decided to stick with the Urban Workshop on the Go Kit stamp set.  It has some great rustic and “boy” focused stamps.

It doesn’t get more focused on boys than that.

Again for these 2 pages I decided to use the same additional pages featured in the Urban Workshops on the Go Kit.

In addition to the embellishments that come in the Urban Workshop on the Go kit I also added the Grey Enamel Gems (that comes in the Georgie Workshops on the Go Kit).

So you can choose to create 8-12x12 pages using both the Georgie and Urban collections OR you can choose to create just 4-12x12 pages using just one of the collections at my January Scrapbook Club?  Remember if you are not local simply buy a kit and I’ll include my instructions for free.

June Card Club–Sympathy and Get Well

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  I hope you are taking some time this weekend to thank those that have fought for our freedom and remember those that lost their lives defending this country.  This weekend is so much more than bright sunny days, grilling food, and spending time with family.  I hope you enjoy every aspect of it. Perhaps these cards can also brighten your day. These are the cards that we will create at my June Card Club on Thursday, June 30 from 6:30-9:30pm . Per requests from my regular attendees, I chose to focus on sympathy and get well cards. This card features a retired stamp set, Kiss It Better , but I really wanted to use it. I love how the band-aids act as closures to the ripped card front. This card is much easier than it looks.  The flower is just circles that have been folded.  I added a stem from our Artiste Cricut collection (which is retiring on July 31 by the way). Having a bad day? This card is sure to brighten it and give you some encouraging wo

June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop–Ice Cream Dream

Yeah!  I am finally getting a chance to participate in another blog hop.  We have 50 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop .    If you lose your place along the way the complete list of participants can be found here.   If you have come here from Kathleen Androlewicz’s Blog you are on the right path. The June Stamp of the Month is entitled Ice Cream Dream (S1506) (Set of 7). Here is a picture of this stamp set. I chose to make a card with this stamp because I thought it would be perfect for a birthday! I chose a pattern from our How-To-Book, Wishes: Simple Side View .  I love the cut-out on the front of the card to reveal a little bit of what is inside. I colored the ice cream truck with some of our ShinHan Markers (Peony Purple, Warm Grey 4, Tender Pink, Turquoise Blue, Golden Yellow, and the Blender for some shading). Then I simply added some of our new washi tape from the Carnival Washi Tape pack (Z3067), s
