Next Card Class–a Magic Card and All About the Gold Fundamentals

I am THRILLED to share my next card class with you.  I had SO MUCH FUN creating these cards that I had to make myself stop because we wouldn’t have time to complete more.  This class will be held on  Thursday, August 3 from 6:30-9:30pm. There is 1 special card in there called a MAGIC card .  It truly is magical. I didn’t create this technique.  I simply watched a few different You Tube videos and made it work for my card.  I used the Balloon Wishes stamp set (D1667) that will be retiring on July 31.  Just a HINT – wait until July to purchase this stamp set (more details to come). The rest of these cards were created using the All About The Gold Fundamentals overlays .  I will admit that I was really scared when I started, but once I made a few cards the ideas kept coming and it was so much fun and EASY!!! Now you are probably wondering why these cards have no sentiments?  That was done on purpose so that you would have some completed cards t...

Scrapbook Club–No Worries

Happy June!  Today I am sharing my July Scrapbook Club pages using the No Worries paper collection . I added the Happy Thoughts embossing folder to the tan pieces on the far right and left of each page. On this layout I added the Wood Slats embossing folder in conjunction with the Square Diffuser ( both of which are retiring ).   I also used the Edge Distresser on the grey woodgrain piece. To make this a workshop I used the same cutting diagrams and patterns as the other collection above. Technique tip: Fold the corner back on the paper and use the Stapler to hold the paper back. If you would like to create these pages then join us at one of the following workshops or buy a kit and I’ll include my instructions for free. Come and create with us!   Sunday, July 9 at 2pm Thursday, July 13 at 6:30pm Cost starts at just $33 and includes a full paper packet and all the embellishments needed to complete the pages. But, remember you choose how much you want to spend and ...

Monthly Specials–time is running out

Time is running out to get your hands on this month’s special Live Beautifully paper collection and the May stamp of the month, Live Laugh Love . I stamped the title and flowers with Memento Ink then colored with our Shin Han Touch Twin Markers. Click here to order yours before May 31 when they are gone for good. Thanks for stopping by. Jaime

Card Club–Waterfalls & Revolving Doors

“Waterfalls and Revolving Doors, what are those?”  I’m so glad you asked, because those are the cards that we are making at next month’s Card Club, Thursday, June 22 from 6:30-9:30pm. I have really been interested in creating “moveable or interactive” cards this year. So I pulled out my Magic How-To-Book.  This book was created for scrapbooking pages with different types of interactive elements, but you can easily transpose them for use on cards as well. One of my favorites is the waterfall technique. It looks really impressive and complicated, but once you learn the steps it’s easy to replicate. As you can see I couldn’t stop with just one.  This card would look great with a name on it too, a short one of course. I also made a card with a revolving door. Simply spin the spinner on top to reveal another saying.  I couldn’t stop with just 3 cards so I added one more using the June stamp of the month, Hello Foxy. Cutting diagrams, patterns and instruc...

Scrapbook Club–Live Beautifully

It’s time for another Scrapbook Club and this month I am sharing the special Live Beautifully collection .    The Live Beautifully collection was created in honor of National Scrapbooking Month and is ONLY available during the month of May. CTMH asked one of their amazing consultants, Karen Pedersen, to create this workshop.  She did not disappoint, these pages are gorgeous. Since complements were not created to accompany this paper collection I choose to use up some older packs like the Sugar Rush and Hello Lovely complements.  (Sugar Rush Complements are no longer available.) You’re probably wondering how some of the titles were created.  They have been stamped with the Live Beautifully stamp set. If you would like to create these pages then join us at one of the following workshops or buy a kit and I’ll include my instructions for free. Come and create with us!   Thursday, June 1 at 6:30pm Sunday, June 4 at 2pm   Cost st...
